This chair was buried deep in the search options. I'm glad I persevered. This quality of materials exceeded anything I found in the brick and mortar establishments. While a bit on the heavy side, I'll not be lugging it up the side of a mountain to a campsite, I will enjoy the stability and strength when I unpack it from my SUV.
I got this because an over 6' appropriately heavyweight guy is coming to visit this summer. It was very easy to set up. By the time I put it together and tested to be sure it was lightweight and would fit in my trunk I had fallen in love with it. I'm 5' and admit I am borderline between overweight and obese. It feels soooo nice to sit in, so soft, yet supportive. So very nice that I left it set up in my living room and am using it instead of my usual comfy chair when I watch TV. How amazing is that?! I will be loath to go back to sitting in my standard folding festival chair when they are here to visit. I'll have to either force a smile and be gracious or... get another one or two!
This directors chair is really cool. Its heavy duty so it has quite a bit of weight to it, but it is easy to set up take down and transport. Its a good size for someone tall or a little bigger. The design is quite different from anything that Ive ever had so it feels a little awkward at first trying to get it set up but once you get the hang of it the foldability is really cool. When you sit in it, it has good stability and is quite comfortable. This is a very high-quality chair and made with durable materials so even though it is quite spendy, it is worth the cost.
